Blog number 4

Me again (running out of remotely interesting blog titles now)

It's all go!

I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who helped to organise and bought something from the cake sale today. We managed to raise £154.83 which means we have raised over £200 in just two days! With all this money going to such a worthy cause http://www.warchild.org.uk/

We all wore our matching War Child t shirts today, and apart from when a 'gangster' year 9 shouted to me "OI WAR CHILD TURN AROUND", I felt priviledged to be wearing such a shirt and be involved in something so special with a really hands on team. Now, I don't want this blog to get too soppy. However, below is a pic of our team (minus one-Fatemah) in our War Child t shirts. (I am top middle) :D on a lovely sunny day. Spread the joy!

The next pic shows my hard working team trying to not eat all the cakes before the sale began

OH NO! THEY DIDN'T SUCCEED

Just kidding....WE SOLD EVERYTHING. Down to the last crumb. Thank you guys xxxxxx

One thing I learnt today is that tarts are much more popular than I expected. The jam, apricot and bakewell went down a storm. Who knew?

Natalie and I finalised the quiz today (for Thursay-£1 a ticket). The quiz consists of 4 rounds, 6 teachers, 6 students, 2 hosts and a French word I can't say. To be a part of this all you have to do is pay is £1 (which will go directly to help a child affected by war), plus you don't want to miss out on all the banter! (I am aiming for a 'Never Mind the Buzzcocks'/'A League of Their Own'/ '8 out of 10 cats' banter situation.) Such fun! If this doesn't happen I will look like such an undescrible fool in front of an audience of 3 and 6 teachers ): I am ruining my reputation on Friday (in a onesie), please don't make me lose it any earlier.

When Natalie came round after school today, before we started the quiz there was a much more important post on the agenda-trying on onesies!!!!!! I'm just gonna put it out there-mine is a rabbit suit. It is grey. Has a white belly. A hood....with ears. And a tail. Need I say anymore? They are unbelievably comfy though!!!! Again, if you would like to sponsor me it would be greatly appreciated. To donate directly to War Child just simply visit this link: http://www.warchild.org.uk/donate

Tomorrow morning is whole school assembly and 4 other people from my group and I are speaking. My friend (and team manager) Sabrina is worried about having to tilt the microphone down (because she is quite small) and being laughed at. My worry is that I will stutter (with my lisp and inability to pronounce 'th' correctly), laugh and probably snort in front of the whole school and forever be teased by the 'gangster' year 9s. To make matters worse I can now imagine myself saying 'Whore Child' instead of 'War Child'. Man, I am such a loser that this will probably happen now! Anyway, the lovely schools manager at War Child-Naomi is coming into school to speak in assmebly too, this should give everyone a proper insight into what War Child does. So I will see everyone in assmebly tomorrow morning! Bright and early (I have to be in school an hour earlier than usual-good grief). Oh well, all for a good cause.

I always say to myself that I should make these blogs shorter cos nobody bothers to read them at the best of times but I seem to have so much to say about my, lets be honest, boring life! (don't know what I am going to write about when this week of events is over-what I have for breakfast most likely) Fun times!

I have decided that next blog I am going to tell you all about War Child, Child Soldiers and what they do and where your money is going. For more information follow these people on Twitter @lucyedyer @Tug_Of_War_ @WarChildUK (Yes, I will probably tell you this every week)!

Thank you for reading and thank you for all your help!

See you in assembly-remember: just an ordinary teen doing something extraordinary for charity. Please help.

Catch up soon

Adios bloggers!
