SSIIIXXXXX

Hello there bloggers, it seems as though it has been a while.

For starters (before I tell you this weeks juicy gossip), I will inform you of the significance of blog 6's title. You see, when I was just a wee las and I used to play Ludo with my Nan, every time I rolled a 1, in the tiniest voice I would say "measly one". But every time I got a 6, I would bellow in the loudest voice possible...."SSSIIIXXXX". So there you go- you learn something new about me during every blog.

Okay, so you've heard about the Tug of War, Cake Sale and Assembly (if you haven't you should feel ashamed and read my earlier blogs). The next on the agenda is Thursday's quiz. I am upset to say that we didn't get the turn out that we had hoped for, but would like to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone who did come and watch. Although the audience wasn't as large as had hoped. The student and teacher teams were FAB-U-LOUS. And yes, I know what you are all thinking-and yes again, there was the perfect amount of banterlicious goodness to satisfy me. The quiz whittled down all the way to a TIE BREAKER (this excited me a lot)-"What is the population on Canada" (closest wins). Although both teams were VERY far off.........the teachers won in the end! They were then rewarded with War Child badges. We managed to raise £17 during the quiz, and as I always say-every penny counts. Thanks again to everyone who watched and took part. Enjoy these mouth watering pics below (I spoil you):

The Big Event (and me hushing the raging crowd)

The teachers studying hard

However, by far, the best event of the week was Friday. As you may remember that I told you that Tug of War (our charity group) were planning to dress up during school hours to raise money for War Child. Well all 10 of our group braved the cruel forces of Burntwood all in the name of charity-and actually managed to raise LOADS of money (turns out people are pretty generous). Before I tell you the amazing figures, take a look at these bad boys:

Tug of War United

Minnie Mouse (team manager)

Sexy cats

Pink ladies

Pongo and Purdy

Tail-icious and tail-less

We got a huge amount of support from EVERYONE at school and I would like to take this moment to literally thank everyone who came to the Tug of War, bought something at the cake sale, baked for the cake sale, listened in assembly, came to the quiz, donated on Friday and helped to organise anything!!!!!!!!!!! Everything you lot have done has been greatly appreciated and will help someone, somewhere in the world.

Now time for those all important numbers. I have good news and bad news. Unfortunately I cannot tell you exactly how much we have raised because we haven't finished yet. I lie, there is no good news. The other piece of news is phenomenal. So far we have managed to raise £700 in just 5 days! The even better news is that we haven't even finished yet! All your help and support is going to help children affected by war, including providing them with an education and integrating them back into safe communities. For more information on War Child visit http://www.warchild.org.uk/ or follow them or us on Twitter @WarChildUK and @Tug_Of_War_. I literally cannot thank everyone who has helped enough. Remember: being part of something special, makes you special. YOU GUYS ARE ALL SPECIAL. Don't worry, it's not too late-if you still want to donate just contact a member of Tug of War at school, on Facebook-Tug of War or on Twitter @Tug_Of_War_ / @lucyedyer.

Now, I know what you guys are all thinking now (yes, I am psychic). You are thinking "Now that their week of events are over is Lucy (Yes, that's me) going to stop blogging? Because if she does I don't know what I will do with my life!" Well, NEVER FEAR-I have a lot of life left in me yet, which means a lots more blogs to come (not quite sure what I am going to write about yet though mind)!

Thanks again for all your help and support (just by reading this blog you are supporting me and raising awareness for War Child and Tug of War). If you find my blog interesting, I give you my permission to share the link with friends and family (and strangers)! Much appreciated.

Toodle pip
