Cheaper by the dozen

Well, oh my!

Who would have thought it aye....my average little blog reaching 1000 views! :O

My friends even got me some balloons to celebrate:

(the pic is taking too long to load but I think you guys all know the one I am talking about) (I will look like an absolute fool if you don't) oh my, shut up Lucy

Thanks guys!! (is that joke getting old yet?) (only works if you know what pic and ongoing joke I am talking about)

Anyways, I do really appreciate the people who are taking the time to read this blog and I hope they stay interesting. Earlier on today I said if I reached a 1000 views I would post again tonight-so here I am (with about 1/4 and hour to spare). I was thinking about being all 'celeb like' and having a competition for my 2000th viewer but I don't know how to find out who viewed when so that idea kinda went down the drain so this is kinda a useless sentence really.....

Now, the reason I started this blog was to advertise my charity group, Tug of War, and what we were doing to raise money for War Child. If you can remember I told you that the reason we set up Tug of War was because of another organisation called Envision. Now, in the Summer Envision are hosting a 'Big Walk' to raise money, and I want to get involved. But not alone. So I am now shamelessly plugging someone else's event just so I don't have to do it alone. Come on how hard can it be? It's just a walk. Whose in? To all those now nodding at their computer screen-thank you!

Did you ask how far?

Not far

How far?

It doesn't matter. It's about doing it with your friends and having a laugh!

How far?

It's for charity.

How far?

It'll keep you fit.

How far?

20 miles

What!! 20 miles (I hear you shout).

Well I am now going to emphasise the word 'walk' because if you think I can run, jog or even gallop (Miranda stylie) 20 miles you are clearly mistaken. But I will be willing to walk because it is for a good cause.I am even going to whip out my cheesey (stolen from Glee) slogan: 'Being part of something special makes you special.'

Has my inspiring speech helped?

Okay okay....we can take a picnic.

I'm in! (I hear you say)

Yay!-more details: http://www.justgiving.com/teams/envisionbigwalk/ (it wouldn't be a Lucy Dyer blog without a link)

For all you first time blog readers; I don't usually talk to myself (honestly).

But seriously guys-I would love for a load of us to get involved, it'll be fun (and if you do, I will post some pics of us in my blog-tempted now aren't you?!)

Not sure if I have anymore news to tell you.

To try and keep my blog views up I am going to advertise my Twitter details again (lucky you) (I feel like the people repeating the number on Comic Relief). Please follow me @lucyedyer. Thank you!

I am also thinking about putting another poll on the side of my blog so if there is anything you're interested in-just give me a shout, you know where to find me (@lucyedyer-just in case you forgot).

My next two blogs are likey to be very exciting because I can tell you about my trip with my Grandparents to Searles and my street party for the royal wedding!!!!!!

And on that bombshell, it's time to end the blog.Goodnight.

Legs 11

Back by popular demand!

You guys are in for a treat today. Boy do I have a lot of links to share with you (I spoil you).

First on the agenda I want to share my recent good news with you.

1. I passed my driving test!

The gang even got me some balloons to celebrate

Thanks guys, you really didn't have to (I know you just free rides)!

2. I won a school trip to India! Now, to win this trip I had to write a mini essay explaining why I wanted to go and what I was going to study while I was out there. As you guys all know I want to be a journalist so I linked my trip to wanting to be a journalist so while I am out there I will be doing plenty of blogging (lucky you). I have also recently found out that it will be monsoon season while I am out there...should be interesting :P

Now as you know Tug of War's work is over for now but we have been doing lots of writing about it.

We have got some of our pics posted on the Event Magazine website: http://community.eventmagazine.co.uk/photos/tug_of_war_2011/default.aspx

My article was printed in the 'Around Burntwood' newsletter: (issue 64, page 2) http://www.burntwoodschool.com/bw/news/around_burntwood

Not sure if I ever showed you the article on the Envision website but it has been updated with some comments from me: http://www.envision.org.uk/news_items/512

That lot should keep you going for a while. Hope everyone is enjoying their Easter holidays. I am off to Searles next week http://www.searles.co.uk/ (kinda like a Butlins). Maybe I can use this blog as a place to post my holiday snaps? Hhhmm....

So we have recently had a spurt of hot weather for 2 whole days (and my nose is already pealing...typical), so yes...climate change is happening.

I shall now let you into a guilty secret of mine-while writing this blog I am watching darts. I am a big fan. Think of me what you like :P

All this typing has helped my nail polish dry.

Be back soon beautiful blogees

xx
